Videos

Almost a year ago, I started looking into how to make YouTube videos. I thought it might be a great idea to try recording myself speaking some of my poems. Since I’m not that skilled at video editing as of yet, I attempted to get through a whole poem in one take. It’s not so easy! I’d get tongue-tied, stutter a bit, forget an important line in the poem… After several takes, I finally got it. However, since that first recorded poem, I have been kind of lax in my recording and posting. Last week, a dear friend of mine who moved to Nashville a few years ago started making video blogs or “vlogs” of her own. The first of her videos was about working on letting go of perfectionism. Reading/reciting poems to a camera isn’t quite the same as doing so in front of a live audience, but just the same, my friend inspired me. After watching her video, I recorded several more videos, and I now have a total of six posted to my YouTube channel BardInBlue. Soon, I’m going to make links to the videos from this website. That way, you’ll be able to get a taste or preview of some of my work. If you like it, you can subscribe to the channel, and I’ll also say which book the poem was published in so that you can find it on Lulu or Amazon, or the other links in the “Books” section of this website. Stay tuned!
